As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication. • Must have High School diploma or GED or Official Transcripts.

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.
• Support access control protocols and verify identification as required by site policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities and/or incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to address concerns and relay important information.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management during daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR, baton, handcuffing, and pepper spray certifications are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
