Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Hospital Patrol in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents through visible patrols and professional presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment. This armed position requires you to remain alert, respond promptly to situations, and communicate clearly with your team. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location while providing excellent customer service.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise within the healthcare environment.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, checking credentials and/or authorizations as required.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or hazards to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as appropriate.
  • Assist healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions and support, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and respond according to established protocols for healthcare facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
