Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Patrols in Ladera Ranch, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to maintain a secure environment by conducting regular patrols throughout a residential location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with residents and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property using a vehicle as required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the residential community in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or unusual conditions encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management as needed.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
  • Support a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all residents and visitors at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
