Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public in a courteous manner while upholding security-related standards.
  • Enforce site-specific rules and regulations as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
