As a Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting any unusual conditions or potential hazards.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized personnel from entering secure zones.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearms in accordance with company policies and all applicable laws, remaining prepared to respond appropriately if necessary.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or any security-related concerns in detailed written reports as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and/or emergency responders as needed to support security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
