Job Description


As a Security Officer - Tech Dispatch in Plano, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch professional in a dynamic tech and media location, you will play a vital role in monitoring and coordinating security-related operations to help create a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include managing communication systems, supporting access control, and assisting with incident response, all while providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications at the dispatch center to support security-related operations within a technology-focused environment.
  • Coordinate response activities during incidents and critical situations, maintaining a calm and problem-solving demeanor.
  • Document and relay information regarding security-related incidents, emergencies, or unusual activity to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Utilize site-specific technology and communication systems to support the flow of information and dispatch instructions as needed.
  • Follow established procedures and site-specific policies when responding to requests for assistance or during emergency response activities.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by addressing inquiries and supporting security-related needs.
  • Support Allied Universal team members and site personnel by facilitating timely and accurate communication between on-site staff and off-site resources.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
