As a Security Guard - Shelter Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere. This position involves routine patrols and primarily driving responsibilities, allowing you to remain visible and provide exceptional customer service through your presence and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns or unusual activity.
• Help to deter unauthorized individuals and/or unwanted behavior through visible presence and attentive monitoring.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, offering assistance as needed while maintaining security-related standards.
• Remain alert to the unique needs and situations that may arise in a shelter environment, adapting responses accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
