As a Security Professional – Armed Mall Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment for customers and staff. This role requires you to be both armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will provide exceptional customer service, respond promptly to incidents, and communicate clearly with all stakeholders. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate response protocols.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity or security-related concerns and report findings according to site guidelines.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or customers to address inquiries and provide assistance as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions within the retail environment.
  • Complete required reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, and observations during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
