As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol Driver in McAllen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a member of the Allied Universal team in a retail setting, you will perform armed patrols and monitor the location to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves being a visible presence, supporting a positive environment, and delivering excellent customer service through clear communication. This position requires driving as part of your duties and maintaining an armed post. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and enhance security presence.
• Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any security-related observations, potential hazards, or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, verifying identification as necessary, and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local law enforcement or emergency services as necessary during incidents.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related needs or emergencies that may arise within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
