As a Security Professional - Armed Retail Patrol Driver in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for customers and staff. This unarmed, driving post involves conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interacting with the public to provide exceptional customer service. You may be required to ride a bike as part of your patrol responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail and mall environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior or security-related incidents, communicating findings to Allied Universal management and/or site contacts.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and addressing unauthorized access situations.
  • Support evacuation or emergency response procedures as directed by site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and patrols in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • At least 21 years of age is required.
  • Level III armed certification in Texas is required.
  • Ability to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
