As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Whitakers, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols in both indoor and outdoor environments. Your presence will help maintain order and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and vendors. You will deliver outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This driving post requires a valid driver's license, as you may be asked to operate company vehicles as part of your responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related access control procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues.
  • Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and irregularities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities according to site procedures and direction from Allied Universal.
  • Interact professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors to address inquiries and provide guidance related to security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
