Job Description


As a Security Officer – Hotel Patrol in Homewood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting guests with professionalism, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff at the location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and support the site's operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel and resort property, including both the interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and emergency responders to provide assistance and relay information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
