Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Residential Patrol in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a distinguished residential location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing peace of mind to the community. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter potential security-related risks and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established communication protocols.
  • Remain visible and approachable to residents and visitors, providing assistance and information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Have experience with access control or badge systems, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
