Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Bike in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while communicating clearly with the public. This post requires you to be armed and may involve driving as part of your responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to report any suspicious activity.
  • Interact with the public, staff, and/or visitors in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site protocols.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment responsibly, including any required for armed patrol duties.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including but not limited to evacuations, medical situations, or other incidents as needed at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by local regulations.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • A valid driver’s license with Class B and passenger endorsement is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
