Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Bike Driver in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for all. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas of the location to identify and report suspicious activities or individuals.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at the location, including staff, visitors, and the public, to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Maintain awareness of security-related surroundings and report any hazards or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and training requirements specific to armed patrol posts in a government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with Class B and passenger endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
