Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Access Control in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a residential location, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help create a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying credentials of residents, guests, and vendors to help maintain authorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions, while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed, maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of high school diploma or general education diploma is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or have an associate degree or 60 college credits or possess a police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
