Job Description


As a Security Professional - Access Control Desk in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will manage access points, interact with visitors and employees, and use technology such as alarm panels and badge systems. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following site-specific procedures and policies.
  • Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to maintain appropriate access control.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and vendors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities in accordance with site-specific guidelines and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
