Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This position requires both driving and armed responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and observe for any unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying authorization of individuals as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
  • Support law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during critical situations at the location.
  • Remain alert and attentive during all assigned shifts, maintaining readiness to respond to situations as they arise.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including communication devices and any required protective gear, in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
