As a Security Professional - Logistics Access Control in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will interact with visitors and staff, support access procedures, and communicate clearly and professionally at all times. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing entry points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting visitors and employees as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdown procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
