What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following site-specific guidelines and instructions.
• Provide customer service to all individuals at the location, addressing questions or concerns in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports related to access control and security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
