As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Access in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and offering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the government facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location.
  • Provide customer service by following site-specific policies and security-related procedures, and respond to inquiries from visitors and staff.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify unusual circumstances.
  • Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and emergency responders during incidents and/or drills as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and provide assistance to authorized personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by law.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
