As a Security Professional - Flex Patrol in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned locations within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment. Your role will focus on providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will interact with employees and visitors, respond to incidents, and support a positive atmosphere. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter areas at the location, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings within a tech and telecom environment, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
  • Document incidents and daily activities accurately, following company and site protocols.
  • Support access control measures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
