As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Industrial in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential risks.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and access procedures as required for a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Follow post orders and instructions from Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
