Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Access Control Driver in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a government location, you will play a key role in access control, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will remain visible, interact with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized individuals.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
