As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to the public, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Serve as a screener at a government location, following site-specific policies and procedures to carry out security-related screening activities.
• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by answering questions and assisting with entry procedures in a professional manner.
• Conduct screening of individuals and/or packages entering the premises, utilizing approved methods and equipment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of screening activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during the shift.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, based on site-specific requirements and instructions from supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of three years’ combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
