Job Description


As a Security Officer - Government Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine checks, interact with the public, and provide exceptional customer service, all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Screen individuals entering the location to verify identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Follow established security-related procedures and protocols for screening and access control.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal management and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
