As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Financial in Altadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at financial institution locations. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and providing outstanding customer service. This armed post requires you to maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment for clients and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity within the location.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or concerns according to site procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during critical situations.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid firearms permit is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
