Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver CRE in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling commercial real estate locations to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and interact with tenants and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter potential risks and observe for unusual activity.
  • Maintain visibility throughout assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance to tenants, visitors, and staff as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when required and assist with incident response.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist in controlling access to the property and verify identification when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
