Job Description


As a Security Professional - Hospital Unarmed Patrol in Fullerton, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming environment, while your customer service skills support positive interactions. You will also utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the facility.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or escort duties as required by site-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement when necessary to address security-related issues and support the well-being of all individuals on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
