As a Security Officer - Downtown Building in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned manufacturing and industrial locations as well as commercial real estate properties. Your visible presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for clients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of reliability, integrity, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing, industrial, and commercial real estate locations, including building interiors and perimeters, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, trespassing, or unusual activity, according to site procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with property management and/or facility staff as needed to address concerns and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions and general information while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
