Job Description


As a Security Professional - Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents, while your positive interactions will provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving position, requiring you to navigate the location as you assist in upholding a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards, adapting to the unique needs of a healthcare location.
  • Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized individuals, in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identifications, and helping to manage visitor flow as required by the facility's guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
