As a Security Officer - Dispatch Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities to help create a secure environment for our clients and visitors. You will handle communications, dispatch support, and maintain situational awareness using computer and/or tablet technology. As this is a driving position, you may be required to operate company vehicles as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a technology-focused environment.
  • Monitor and coordinate communications between teams and field personnel through dispatch operations.
  • Document and relay critical information regarding incidents, visitor management, or site activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the coordination of emergency or urgent situations, following established protocols for technology or media company locations.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining awareness of site activity through surveillance systems and communication channels.
  • Support incident reporting, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks associated with dispatch operations.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to support a secure and professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Active California Guard Card is Required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
