As a Security Professional - Tech Campus Unarmed Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within the Tech/Media/Telecom industry, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the location.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or the client’s representatives regarding security-related matters as necessary.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the premises.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of activities, incidents, and/or any issues encountered while on patrol.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions or information as needed, while maintaining a professional presence at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
