Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine armed patrols, providing a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This post also requires driving, so you will be expected to safely operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as situations require.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility while on patrol to help to deter potential disturbances or criminal activity.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • A Corrections Officer License is required.
  • Candidates must present a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • A Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
