As a Security Officer - Unarmed Campus Patrols in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational setting, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor movement within the property.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors to provide information and assistance as needed.
• Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, following site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
