Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed  Full-Time in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment within a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to promote peace of mind, and deliver outstanding customer service while responding to various situations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to observe activities and help to deter unauthorized behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual circumstances, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances or exits and assisting visitors or staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to address security-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or suspicious activity throughout the assigned area and promptly notify appropriate personnel as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of security-related experience are required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
