Job Description


As a Security Professional - Healthcare Loss Prevention in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols will help provide peace of mind while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff and visitors as needed in a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for any unusual conditions.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behaviors to the appropriate personnel and Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas and/or sensitive locations within the facility.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and local authorities when required to manage incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and patients within the location.
  • Support the enforcement of site policies, including visitor management and prohibited items, in accordance with healthcare regulations and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Development certificate is required as per client requirements.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Guard Card or security license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
