Job Description


As a Security Guard - Financial Site Patrol Driver in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. Your presence and attention to detail will provide reassurance to employees and visitors, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication supports a professional setting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within financial institution locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related matters as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as suspicious individuals, property damage, or unusual occurrences, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts by following established procedures and assisting first responders as necessary.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patrol activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicant must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
