Job Description


As a Security Guard - Healthcare Patrol Driver in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining open communication with staff and visitors. This driving position requires you to demonstrate agility, reliability, and integrity in every shift, contributing to a people-first environment where teamwork and a caring culture are at the forefront.

Pay Rate: $28.61 - $29.61 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, including the business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related violations, or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required, and helping to maintain an orderly flow of personnel and visitors within the location.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • EMT certification is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
