Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrols in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned area and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires you to carry a firearm, respond to incidents, and support a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, always adhering to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Perform security-related checks and monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the facility.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary, supporting the response to incidents and critical situations.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on duty, using professional judgment to identify and address situations as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
