Job Description


As a Security Professional - Healthcare Patrol Driver Full-Time in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position, so you will need to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, calling for emergency response as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or breaches of site protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and uphold site-specific requirements.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency personnel as needed regarding security-related matters.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
  • Support staff, patients, and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as specified by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
