What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting medical personnel and law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the hospital buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for all individuals on site.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual situations according to established procedures.
  • Assist with access control procedures and visitor management as directed by site protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by hospital protocols.
  • Maintain a professional presence and act as a visible representative of Allied Universal within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
