As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Driver in Potomac, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Your role includes primarily driving throughout the property to monitor assigned areas, as this is a driving post. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel or resort property, including the perimeter and parking areas, to help to deter inappropriate or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a welcoming environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance issues to management and/or Allied Universal as required.
  • Support the enforcement of property rules and regulations and provide guidance to guests and staff when needed.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuation and/or first aid as directed by site protocols.
  • Remain visible and approachable throughout the location to provide assistance and information to guests, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This position is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
