As a Security Guard - Armed Driving Role in Milford, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Allied Universal team member in an access control role within a food and beverage production location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in the job state, and you will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles to maintain an orderly flow within the facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe for unusual activity, security-related hazards, or suspicious behavior.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to food and beverage production environments, including any requirements for hygiene and contamination prevention.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with inquiries and security-related procedures.
  • Document all activities, observations, and security-related incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with site management as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
