As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Government Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer serving a prominent government location. In this role, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible throughout the site to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Manage access control for the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action according to protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks and report any concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or visitors to address concerns and deliver professional security-related support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Confidential Clearance is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • A minimum of six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • An active Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
