As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol in Providence, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attentiveness. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help promote a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Perform regular and random patrols throughout the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for irregularities.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or situations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents and promote a secure environment on utility properties.
• Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and verifying credentials as required.
• Document daily activities and incidents in detailed written reports according to Allied Universal standards.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors, providing assistance and information as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
