As a Security Officer - Academic Center Patrol - Full Time  in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to maintain a secure environment throughout an educational location by conducting regular patrols and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors while communicating clearly and assisting as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior areas and the surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, potential hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal policies.
• Support emergency response efforts by working with local authorities and/or campus personnel during incidents.
• Maintain a visible presence on campus to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to students, faculty, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
