Job Description


As a Security Professional - Government Patrol Driver - Armed in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This post requires both an armed guard license and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving patrol routes and responding to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying training and protocols specific to government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related breaches, or hazardous conditions encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate clearly with team members and law enforcement as required.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Follow all protocols for access control and visitor management as outlined for government locations.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response tasks as directed by Allied Universal or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
