Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driver Patrol in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at this government location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence. This driving and armed post requires you to provide exceptional customer service while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the designated government location, including both the interior and perimeter areas.
  • Monitor for unusual activities or potential security-related concerns and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during incidents, following established protocols and instructions.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately through written reports and communication tools provided by Allied Universal.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings in order to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
