As a Security Officer – Flex Media Site Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct unarmed patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the tech and media environment.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials as needed for entry into restricted areas.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and/or employees to provide guidance and information as required.
  • Complete incident and/or daily activity reports as directed by Allied Universal policies and client protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and client representatives to uphold security-related standards across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
